The latest Storm in Owatonna didn't stop the Huskies girls basketball team from playing, and beating, Red Wing. It was the fourth time the game appeared on the schedule.

Monday's only Storm was the Chanhassen Storm boys hockey team, who beat the Huskies 6-0 in a makeup game. Meanwhile at the Owatonna gym, the Huskies girls basketball team beat the Wingers 67-54 in a game postponed three times by winter weather. Syd Schultz scored 23 points. Ahna Stelter added 12. Owatonna (14-5 overall, 12-4 Big Nine) had lost their last two games to Northfield and Winona, the top two teams in the conference. OHS hosts Rochester Century on Tuesday at 7:30PM. A rematch with Red Wing comes Friday, February 17, weather permitting.

At the Four Seasons Centre, the Storm scored early in each of the first two periods on their way to a 6-0 victory. Chanhassen outshot Owatonna 29-14. OHS (11-9) plays at South St. Paul (6-13-2) Tuesday at 7PM on Kat Kountry 105FM. For the second straight time at Four Seasons, no one claimed the winnings from the 50/50 drawing, meaning all the money goes to the Ratzloff Strong fund to help cover medical expenses for the 2013 OHS graduate Matt Ratzloff, who is fighting leukemia.
