The latest Storm in Owatonna didn't stop the Huskies girls basketball team from playing, and beating, Red Wing. It was the fourth time the game appeared on the schedule.

With two games to go on the season, the Owatonna High School girls hockey team remains in the race for a Big Nine title. Just how close, however, is a little uncertain.

After multiple rain-outs, Owatonna baseball and Blooming Prairie softball will resume their playoff surge on Wednesday.

Section baseball action gets underway Thursday with single-elimination games for the local teams. Blooming Prairie at Faribault Bethlehem Academy will be on Power 96 radio.

Section softball playoffs start Monday with a home game for Blooming Prairie. Triton goes on the road. Tuesday NRHEG opens at home and Medford hits the road.

The OHS boys tennis team plays in the second round of the Section 1AA tournament Thursday to battle the top 10-ranked Spartans. Match time is 4PM.

OHS baseball and girls lacrosse are in the thick of contention for Big Nine championships this spring. The lacrosse team could clinch Tuesday.

Owatonna High School softball and baseball face the best in the state Thursday, each playing a doubleheader against Mankato West. Softball is at 4PM in Owatonna. Baseball at 5PM is in Mankato.

For the third time this season, OHS boys tennis will try to finish a match with top 10-ranked Rochester Mayo. It's already been suspended by rain once and postponed another time.

The Owatonna High School softball team will host a Kids' Night event at their game against Faribault on Thursday at Morehouse Park. Junior varsity plays at 5PM with the varsity at 7PM.
