After multiple rain-outs, Owatonna baseball and Blooming Prairie softball will resume their playoff surge on Wednesday.

Huskies baseball hosts Lakeville South at 5PM at Fuller Field at Dartt's Park on Kat Kountry 105FM. The winner advances to the Section 1AAAA final four Saturday in Dundas. The loser plays Rochester JM at 7:30PM Wednesday in an elimination game. Owatonna held off Rochester Century 5-4 in Monday's quarterfinals. South upset JM on Monday.

Blooming Prairie softball has been off since winning two elimination games last Friday. They play Wabasha-Kellog at 4:30 at Todd Park in Austin Wednesday.  The winner plays the loser of the Randolph versus Hayfield game at 6PM.

NRHEG baseball got shutout by Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Tuesday 4-0 in the 2AA tournament. The Panthers play at elimination game Thursday at 5PM in St. James.

Section 1A baseball Wednesday features the subsection championship games. Wabasha-Kellog plays Lewiston-Altura in Winona and USC faces Lyle-Pacelli in Austin. Randolph and Hayfield await the losers tonight.

Section 2AAA baseball begins their semifinals Wednesday. Mankato East plays at top seed Mankato West and New Ulm is at Marshall. All four teams will report to New Ulm on Saturday.

In Section 1AAA baseball top seed Northfield and second seed Red Wing are in the winners bracket final Saturday in Red Wing. Winona, Albert Lea and Austin are still going in the losers bracket.

In girls softball, Mankato East and Mankato West meet in the 2AAA final Thursday at Caswell. Top seed West needs just one win to advance to state.

Section 1AAA softball resumes Wednesday after a day of rain at Todd Park. New Prague and Farmington meet in the winners bracket final while Lakeville North and Lakeville South battle in the losers bracket.
