Owatonna football became predictable in its play-calling in Saturday's section semifinal game against Rochester Mayo at OHS. Hand the ball to senior Jason Williamson and watch him race around and through the Spartans for a touchdown, over and over again.

Williamson broke school records with 441 yards rushing and eight touchdowns in the Huskies' 63-28 victory to send OHS to its third straight section final. Williamson scored on runs of 47, 16, 2, 30, 53, 34, 63 and 29 yards. He broke his own rushing record by more than 100 yards.

OHS (9-0) will host Northfield Friday, November 2 in the section final at the Owatonna High School football field. Northfield (7-3) led Owatonna 11-10 at halftime of their October 12 game before the Huskies scored 19 third-quarter points to win 29-11. The Raiders rallied from a 9-0 halftime deficit at Rochester Century Saturday to win 25-15. The Huskies are the defending state champs.

The winner advances to the state tournament quarterfinals at the Minnesota Vikings TCO Stadium in Eagan on Saturday, November 10 at 12 pm against the winner of the Section 2-5A game between Mankato West and Chaska.

Blooming Prairie (10-0) reached the Section 1A finals with a 56-0 win over Southland Saturday. The Blossoms will face Goodhue (9-1) Saturday, November 3 at Rochester Regional Sports Stadium at 5 pm.

NRHEG will play WEM Friday, November 2 in the Section 2AA championship at JWP at 7 pm. The Panthers trampled LeSueur-Henderson 49-0 Saturday afternoon.
