The Huskies dropped their season opener at Rosemount on Thursday night 66-41. The Irish raced to a 39-21 halftime lead while hitting six three-pointers while Owatonna had none.

Rosemount opened the game on an 18-2 run as Huskies coach Lindsey Hugstad-Vaa felt her team showed some opening night jitters. Rosemount outscored Owatonna 27-20 in the second half. The Huskies were led by Jenna Zeman with 10 points. All-conference returner Sydney Schultz was held to nine. Lexi Langeland scored seven. Rosemount had two players in double figures and nine players scored. Owatonna (0-1) opens their home schedule with a Big Nine Conference game Saturday night at 7:30PM versus Mankato East.
