Sophomores Alyvia Johnson, with 11 kills, and Kaitlyn Madole, with eight, added to a well-balanced night for the Huskies (11-16 overall, 5-6 Big Nine). Junior Breeze Berglund had a great service run in the fifth set to lift OHS from a 5-2 deficit to a 10-5 lead with three aces.
Ordal said distributing the ball to a wide variety of attackers was a key to the win, which including using the middles more.
The scores were close all night long with Owatonna beating West 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 24-26, 15-13.
