Owatonna senior Steph Kretlow wrapped up her prep gymnastics career with a stellar performance at the state gymnastics meet. (There's a photo gallery here too.)

After leading her team to the state meet for the first time in school history, Kretlow competed in the vault Saturday as part of the individual event and took second place with a score of 9.7125, according to the Minnesota State High School League results. She also scored a 9.0 on the floor, which was 28th place.

Seventh-grader Lindsay Bangs finished ninth on the beam Saturday with a score of 9.3125. OHS sophomore Rebecca Olson scored 8.2875 on the beam and finished 30th.

Look below to view the pictures I took while covering the event for KRFO radio. I provided updates and reports on the progress of the night, which was a bit of a challenge. I am not one to do play-by-play of gymnastics! Also there is no actual scoreboard to show team scores. I enjoyed being there to take in the athletic and acrobatic skills of the gymnasts.
