Minnesota Native and Olympic Gold Medalist Suni Lee To Compete On ‘Dancing With The Stars’
Suni Lee the Olympic Gold Medalist in Gymnastics will be looking to add a Mirror ball trophy to go next to her Olympic medals as she competes in the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars." Lee a St. Paul native was thrust into the spotlight at the latest Summer Olympic Games and soon became a household name.
I would say that based on her ability as a gymnast she might dominate on the dance floor as well, She joins a long list of Olympic gymnasts who have competed before, including Simone Biles who finished fourth in Season 24. Biles who is only 18 years old is currently a freshman at Auburn University and is on the gymnastics team there as well.
Lee spoke with USA Today saying:
I've seen so many people go out there and do 'Dancing With the Stars,' so it was one of my goals after the Olympics, who says she watches the competition "whenever there are gymnasts on the show. So I'm excited to see another one.
Lee recently posted a video on TIK Tok dancing with fellow USA Teammate Jordan Chiles trying to give Suni some tips, but went on to say to her: " You're going on 'Dancing With the Stars? You don't know how to dance!"
Nonetheless Lee says she loves to dance and is determined to try her best to win the show. Lee is not the only youngster that has already been cast JoJo Siwa has also been announced that she will be on the next round of competition as well. If you are a fan of the show make sure to cheer on our hometown hero Suni Lee, the rest of the cast will be announced on September 8.
