Owatonna finished third at the Class AA state gymnastics meet Friday at the Maturi Sports Pavilion at the University of Minnesota. It's the Huskies second straight third place trophy in their third consecutive appearance at the state meet. The Huskies scored 148.7. Stillwater Area captured the state title with 150.250. Lakeville North took second place with 149.7.
Owatonna's gymnastics team turned in a school-record performance of 149.8 to capture their third consecutive Section 1AA crown Friday night at Rochester John Marshall High School. The Huskies will compete at the state meet Friday, February 23 at the University of Minnesota's Sports Pavilion. OHS was third at state last year.
Owatonna gymnastics won its third straight Big Nine championship Saturday, their 14th overall conference title since 1972 according to www.big9.org. OHS scored 146.6 to win by about four-and-a-half points. The Huskies go for their third straight Section 1AA title Friday at John Marshall High School. OHS finished third at the state meet in 2017.
