Based on the scores of their first two meets, the Owatonna High School gymnastics team is ranked third in the state AA poll with an average score of 143.475.

The only teams with higher scores are St. Cloud Tech (144.40) and Roseville Area (143.808). The only other Section 1AA team in the top 25 is Rochester Century (17th, 135.45). Big Nine teams ranked in A are Mankato West (eighth), Austin (12th) and Mankato East (22nd). Detroit Lakes is No. 1A. The Huskies compete at Northfield on Tuesday, December 22.

The Huskies girls hockey team moved up two spots to 16th in the Class A rankings after wins over Faribault and Northfield. Owatonna plays at No. 14 South St. Paul on Saturday, December 19, at 1PM on KRFO AM 1390. Big Nine and section rival Red Wing is rated 12th. Dodge County is 12th in the AA rankings, right behind Section 1 opponent Lakeville South. Blake is No.1A. Hill-Murray tops the AA poll.

In boys hockey, Section 1AA teams Lakeville North (eighth) and Farmington (17th) are ranked. Benilde-St. Margaret's heads the poll. Big Nine teams ranked in A are Mankato West (15th) and Northfield (19th). Hermantown is No. 1A.

In girls basketball, Rochester Mayo is No.4-4A. Lakeville North, a Section 1-4A team, is eighth. Winona is No. 3-3A. Kasson-Mantorville (sixth) and Byron (seventh) are Section 1-3A teams. Goodhue is top rated in Class A. Eastview (4A), Orono (3A) and Plainview-Elgin-Millville (2A) are the other top-ranked teams.

In boys hoops, Rochester John Marshall is No. 6-4A. Red Wing (second) and Austin (third) are both in Section 1-3A. Waseca is No. 7-3A. The top-rated teams are Hopkins (4A), DeLaSalle (3A), Melrose (2A) and Minneapolis North (1A).
