Owatonna basketball swept Northfield Tuesday to earn a season split with the Raiders. The OHS girls shutdown Northfield 54-41, their first Big Nine Conference loss. The OHS boys pulled away in the second half for an 82-55 victory.

In the girls game at OHS, the Huskies led 21-15 at the half. Sydney Schultz led the Huskies with 21 points. Jenna Zeman scored 16. Owatonna (13-5, 12-2 Big Nine) has won nine of their last ten games. The Huskies play at Winona Friday at 7:30PM on Kat Kountry 105FM. Northfield continues to lead the Big Nine standings at 14-1 with the Huskies in second place.

The Owatonna boys turned a close game at halftime into a blowout by the end. OHS led 36-31 at halftime. The Huskies out scored the Raiders 46-24 in the second half. All five Huskies' starters reached double figures. Andrew Jackson scored 18 and grabbed ten rebounds. Nolan Malo had 17. Alex Raichle scored 15. Jason Williamson added 13. Dalton Kubista had 12.

Owatonna forced 23 turnovers and out rebounded the Raiders 38-23. The OHS b-squad won 71-45 and the junior varsity won 42-26. Owatonna (12-4, 11-2) hosts Winona Friday night at 7:30PM. It is "Coaches vs Cancer" night with funds raised benefiting Jim Gleason.

Austin leads the Big Standings at 12-1 with Owatonna, Rochester JM and Mankato East tied for second at 11-2.
