The Huskies won their sixth in a row as senior Clay Leidall tossed his third straight complete game, a four-hitter, in a 6-0 victory over Northfield at Dartt's Park.

Catcher Alec Holcomb threw out a pair of base runners. The Huskies turned two double plays. Brett Solie collected two hits. OHS earned a split of the season series with the Raiders. It was the final meeting of the season between the teams. Northfield has knocked OHS out of the section playoffs the past three years. But this season Owatonna is 1-4A team while Northfield is in 1-3A.

The Huskies (7-2) go to Faribault on Thursday for a 5PM game on KRFO AM 1390. Friday the Huskies play a make-up game at Rochester Mayo at 5PM with the play-by-play on Kat Kountry 105FM.

In other Big Nine baseball, Red Wing topped Austin 6-3 in 10 innings and Albert Lea beat Faribault 8-1.

OHS softball lost a tough decision Tuesday, falling at Northfield 5-4 when the Raiders scored four times in the bottom of the eighth inning. Their rally, which included a couple of hits and a couple of OHS errors, came after the Huskies scored three in the top of the eighth. The game was tied 1-1 after seven innings. OHS senior Kirstin Pumper went 3-for-4 with a home run.

Top five ranked Rochester Century boys tennis swept OHS 7-0. The Owatonna girls track team dominated at Winona, winning the triangular meet with 102 points. Northfield had 58. Winona had 23 points.
