The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva basketball teams are coming off a good week of action after they each lost consecutive games the week before.

The Panther boys beat Blooming Prairie and United South Central in their most recent outings. NRHEG is 10-6 overall and 5-2 in the Gopher Conference. The Panthers host JWP on Monday, January 18, at 7:15PM. They play a section game against Blue Earth Area on Tuesday night and go to Bethlehem Academy on Friday. Big section games are yet to come against subsection leader Maple River on January 26 and WEM on February 4. Each of those will be in New Richland.

Panthers coach Pat Churchill joined KRFO for the coaches show on January 16.

 

 

Panther girls basketball is 12-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference. They sit atop the Section 2AA-South standings but face big seeding road games at Maple River on January 26 and WEM on February 4. This week the Panthers play at Blue Earth Area on Tuesday. They host Faribault BA on Friday on KDHL AM 920.
