Jason Williamson Scores Four Touchdowns as Owatonna Rolls to Homecoming Victory
With a capacity crowd on hand and the nicest weather of the football season so far, Owatonna steamrolled their way to a 48-0 victory over Mankato East. It was the Huskies second shutout of the season. Jason Williamson found the end zone four times and rumbled for about 250 yards on the ground. He has 17 touchdowns this season. Fifteen rushing, one receiving and one on a kickoff return.
Abe Havelka tossed his 17th touchdown pass of the season to start the scoring. He hit Dalton Kubista on a 34-yard strike less than two minutes into the game. Ethan Walter and Mason Oland each scored second half touchdowns to round out the Huskies offense. David Keller went 6-for-7 on extra point kicks.
Owatonna's defense held the Cougars to less than 150 yards of total offense. East showed many different looks through the night. Kade Serbus had a big night with a big tackle total, and several tackles for a loss.
OHS (5-0) hosts Rochester Century (2-3) Friday October 6 for the Huskies' Sack Cancer Game. The Owatonna Foundation will also be featured at the game.
