Owatonna hosts Rochester Century in the Section 1-5A football title game Friday night at 7PM at the OHS football field on KRFO AM 1390. The Huskies beat the Panthers 46-7 October 6 with Owatonna running back Jason Williamson scorching Century for a school-record 343 yards.

OHS coach Jeff Williams says Century has mostly been solid defensively this season, tough against the run and good at pressuring the quarterback. Century hasn't scored much, averaging just 11 points per game.

Triton had a big lead over Caledonia in week two, but the defending state champion Warriors roared back to pull off a 34-27 victory. Caledonia has won the section title each of the last three years. It's been a few years since the Cobras appeared in the section final. The teams play Friday night for the 1AA title at 8PM at Rochester Regional Sports Stadium on KDHL AM 920.

Triton coach Don Henderson says the goal is try to take the passing game away from Caledonia. Regarding the Warriors' defense, he says, "Their defensive scheme is not complex. Their guys up front are zoomers. They get off the ball quick and they're just trying to be disruptive."

Henderson thinks Triton has the team this year to finally beat Caledonia.
