Friday was a very good day for the Owatonna High School wrestling team at the Section 1AAA meet at Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. Eleven wrestlers reached the individual semifinals. Two others are still active in wrestle-back consolation and just one got elminated.

No. 9 rated 106-pounder Cael Robb (34-6) pinned his opponent in 1:27 and will face JT Hausen of Faribault in Saturday's semifinals which begin at 10 am. Owen Thorn (21-16) pinned his man in just 26 seconds to reach a semifinal match up with Beau Murphy of Northfield at 113 pounds.

No. 8 YJ Evillard (22-7) had the easiest day. He just had to show up. With two byes he is in the semifinals at 120 pounds against No. 7 rated Jake Messner of Northfield. Kanin Hable (30-13, No. 9 ranked at 126) lost a 7-6 decision in the quarterfinals. Hable pinned two wrestlers to stay alive in the quest for third place and the chance at a true second match.

Chase Dallman (23-17) lost a 5-4 bout in the quarters. He got a pin to stay active in the consolation at 132 pounds. Jacob Rienardy (25-12, No. 8 ranked) pinned his opponent late in the third period to reach the semifinals at 138 pounds.

Jerez Autridge (27-11) won a 5-0 decision at 145 pounds and will face top-seed Luke Peterson of Farmington in the semifinals. No. 1 ranked and top-seed Landen Johnson earned two pins, each in less than a minute, to make it to the semis at 152.

No. 9 ranked Kaden Nelson (24-9) got a tech fall at 160 pounds and will see No. 10 Owen Pharo of Rochester Century Saturday morning. Matt Seykora (24-14) got a fall in 44 seconds at 170 pounds and will face Nikolas Mikula of Northfield next.

Ethan Stockwell (18-15) won by fall early in the third period to reach the semis at 182 to face Jack Holman of Northfield. Quincey Price (26-13) got a late first-period pin at 195 pounds and will meet No. 6 ranked and top-seed Luke Weierke Saturday.

No. 4 rated 285-pounder Isaiah Noeldner (31-7) needed just 25 seconds to pin his opponent and reach the semifinals. He will face Trevor Olson of Farmington.
