Super Bowl To Be Big On The Field And At The Airport
Super Bowl 52 will be a huge event at U.S. Bank Stadium. But even before the first snap of the ball there will be many things happening behind the scenes and then the question after the game will be how do we get all these people out of town.
The day after the game is expected to be a record setting travel day at MSP Airport. According to a KSTP report, the NFL has told the airport to expect about 1,100 private planes and jets for the event, according to Phil Burke Operations Director at the airport. A meeting about this was held Thursday. Burke said representatives from the Duluth Airport were at the meeting and the Owatonna airport was on the phone.
Burke said that more agents will be at the checkpoints to help move things along quicker. Off course the safety of all is the number one concern and February in Minnesota, a snowstorm can't be ruled out to mess things up either.
They are still in need of volunteers. If you can help you can click here.
