Some Things To Know About Owatonna’s Arts Festival
Art On The Hills returns Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 to the West Hills Campus. 35 artists will be showing and selling their creations. Art work will include paintings, pottery, jewelry, glass-art and photography. The featured artist is Sandy Dinse a local watercolor artist who enjoys painting country life on the farm scenes. Andrew Judkins who has his landscape paintings on display at the Arts Center will be there on Sunday from 1-4PM.
Of course there's food but also entertainment. A jazz combo performs Saturday morning followed by two soloists and then old home style music followed by show tunes. The Sunday lineup will feature a number of church groups from area churches. Admission is free.
Along with the art work you'll also find the Orphanage Museum and Cottage 11 open from 10-5PM on Saturday and Sunday from 10-4PM. There will be tours and the documentary " The Children Remembered" will be shown. You can start off Sunday, July 29 with a pancake breakfast to benefit the Arts Center at the Owatonna Eagles..
A reminder that advance tickets are on sale now at the Arts Center and Kottke Jewelers for the Secret Garden Tour which is this Sunday, July 22. 7 gardens will be featured with 2 in the country.
