A 31-year-old man had to be airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis after a crash north of Waseca Friday night July 13. The state patrol alleges that the man drove through a stop sing and collided with another vehicle, according to the Mankato Free Press.

Justin Taylor of Farmington was not wearing a seat belt and suffered life-threatening injuries according to the state patrol, who indicated that Taylor drove through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Taylor Wetzel of Waterville.

The report states that Wetzel was taken to the Waseca Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred around 10:45 pm Friday night on 430th Avenue north of Waseca.

The weekend turned deadly when a head-on crash near Red Wing in Goodhue County led to the deaths of three people.
