The Owatonna High School football program will sack cancer Friday October 6 during their game against Rochester Century. Fans are invited to order special t-shirts at The Hat Chic in downtown Owatonna through September 28. Shirts will be available to be picked around October 4 or 5. School district employees can also order shirts through their staff lounge or stop into room E-203 in the high school and see Nancy Williams.

OHS football coach Jeff Williams says the money raised stays local, "All the proceeds go to Relay for Life which supports cancer patients and cancer research in Steele County and From the Heart Run, which is the spring run there we support three or four families who are facing cancer. We've done a pretty good job over the last several years, raising well in excess of $3,000. We'd like to see if we can get to the $4,000 mark this year. I think it's doable."

A free will donation will also be taken during the October 6 game against Rochester Century. The theme will be a 'blackout' that night. Shirts will have a purple ribbon on the sleeve in honor of the Wiese family on the passing of Terry recently.

Williams said, "What we'd really like is for the public to go downtown to The Hat Chic and maybe pick up a little Huskies apparel," in addition to ordering a Sack Cancer shirt.
