Minnesota River Moves Up in Boys Hockey Rankings
The Minnesota River Bulldogs are ranked #17 in the latest Let's Play Hockey Class A boys hockey rankings. The Bulldogs three losses so far were to state rated North Branch 5-1. stat ranked Mankato East 4-3 in overtime and New Ulm 6-1. They are riding a six game win streak. Minnesota River includes the school districts of Tri-City United (Montgomery-Lonsdale/Lecenter), St. Peter, Cleveland, Belle Plaine and LeSueur-Henderson.
Northfield is #15, Mankato East #16 in the latest Class A rankings. The top ranked team all season has been Hermantown, St. Cloud Cathedral is #2. East Grand Forks, Thief River Falls and Totino-Grace round out the top five. In Class 2A boys it's strange not seeing any Lakeville schools in the rankings and the South Suburban Conference has two teams in the top twenty. Rosemount #12 and Eagan #19.
