A Southern Minnesota man was arrested after his wife was found dead in his home.

58-year-old Duane Johnson of Searles, called 911 on Thursday morning to report that his wife, Debra, was dead, according to SouthernMinnesotaNews.com.

 

Johnson was charged with felony criminal neglect and a felony count of receiving stolen property.

According to KEYC-TV, a 911 call was received at around 11:45AM January 24th.

According to BringMeTheNews.com when deputies arrived at the home the words "Death Parde God Hell" had been spray-painted in red on the front door. KEYC also reported that deputies found Duane Johnson standing in the doorway naked, telling officers his wife was dead.  He then ran upstairs and began bathing in a soap and bleach mixture.

A criminal report stated that Johnson had been using amphetamines over the past several days.

Deputies, once fully inside the home, found the body of 69-year-old Debra Lynn Johnson wrapped in a sheet.

According to authorities, she had heart problems, affective disorder, and diabetes. It's has been alleged that Debra Johnson was not being properly cared for.

Officers also say they found 47 guns at the residence, several of which were stolen.

On January 25th  a bail hearing was held for Johnson at the Brown County Courthouse. According to the Brown County Jail Roster bail for Johnson is currently set at $250,000.  His next court appearance will be on February 8.
