Triton and NRHEG won their homecoming games Friday night. Medford lost. Owatonna and Blooming Prairie will host homecoming on October 2.

Owatonna football spoiled Rochester Mayo's homecoming 35-14. The Huskies led 21-14 at the half and kept the Spartans out of the end zone in the second half. OHS senior quarterback Alex Emanuelson had a pair of long touchdown passes. The Huskies had some big plays on defense and special teams as well. But coach Jeff Williams also says the team is giving up too many big plays on kickoff coverage. He also spoke with KRFO about Owatonna graduates Carter McCauley and Mason Bloomquist, who recently earned "Player of the Week" honors in college.

You can also find out the details of Owatonna's "Sack Cancer" campaign in this interview from Saturday's show. Supporters can purchase t-shirts from any Owatonna school before Oct. 2. The "Sack Cancer" game is Oct. 9 versus Rochester Century.

Blooming Prairie rolled by Medford 53-16 in the Tigers' homecoming game. The Awesome Blossoms did not turn the ball over after committing 15 turnovers in their previous five games.

NRHEG jumped out to a lead over Le Sueur-Henderson for the Panthers' homecoming and cruised on to a 35-14 victory.

Medford lost to Blooming Prairie on Sept. 25.

Triton won its homecoming game over Chatfield 36-19, but the Cobras struggled on offense and had trouble converting on their extra point tries. Coach Don Henderson spoke of those concerns on Saturday's show.
