It's already the eighth annual Harry Wenger Marching Band Festival on Saturday, June 17. The competition starts at 11AM in Owatonna. Twelve bands will be marching and be judged in three classes, with the Owatonna band marching in exhibition.

Bands competing this year are:

  • Dover-Eyota
  • Lake City
  • Dassel-Cokato
  • Richfield
  • Milaca
  • Henry Sibley
  • Waconia
  • Mankato 77 Lancers
  • 728 Cadets

The parade route starts at Prospect and goes up Lincoln and then west on East Main. The performance area will be between East University and Phelps, near Agnes and then near South Elm in front of the judges' stand.

This year's grand marshal is a longtime music supporter in Owatonna and the surrounding area. Jerry and Janet Besser of Tone Music will be the honorees this year.
