Believe It! There Is Still A Snow Pile At The Minneapolis Airport
Stop me if you've heard this before, it's hot out. Temps made it into the high 80s and into the 90s yesterday across Southern Minnesota, yet there is still a pile of snow at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. It's not very white anymore and covered in vegetation but Channel 9 Meteorologist Cody Matz assures us it's snow.
Check out that dirty pile of snow.
I know it wasn't too long ago that there was still a pile of brown sand encrusted snow in Austin, MN outside a baseball field. It's a touch unnerving knowing that somewhere a sad-looking, brown, sand encrusted frosty the snowman lingers like Pennywise in a sewer, waiting to rise up and reclaim the land as a vast white frigid tundra.
Fight the urge Minnesota, embrace the heat and humidity. Break out the misting fan water bottles, construct a slip 'n' slide on that hill in the backyard, or fill up that old plastic kiddie pool and park yourself in it.
The alternative is 50 below windchills and snot-icicles hanging from your nose.
