Here it comes. The 11th annual Smokin' in Steele BBQ and Blues Fest at the Steele County Fairgrounds on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2.
The first thing to know is you get the music of 13 bands with tickets priced at just $10. When's the last time you got to see even one artist for 10 bucks? Enjoy music in the beer garden and entertainment in Fair Square Park.
This is a sanctioned competition. That means the folks doing the barbecuing take this seriously. While enjoying the aromas check out the unique and sometimes elaborate units these pros use to prepare the goodies.
Number 3 is to bring the kids as they will once again have the Blues for Kids Harmonica lessons and a Kids Q Competition.
The fourth thing to remember is the Smokin' in Steele/Gopher Sport run walk for Special Olympics on Saturday morning. Show your support for Special Olympics Minnesota.
