3 Things To Know About the Marching Band Festival
Of course you need to know firstly that the 9th annual Harry Wenger Marching Band Festival is Saturday, June 16. It starts at 11AM in Owatonna. Luverne Wanous will be this year's parade honoree.
You need to know the hot spots from where to watch. The bands will be performing in front of Trinity Lutheran Church on Lincoln, between Academy and Agnes on Lincoln and the judging stand downtown at Elm and Main.
The third thing to remember is the awards ceremony. A number of folks leave right after the OHS band marches in exhibition. The trophies and prizes are handed out in Central Park between 12 and 12:3PM. It's a fun place jammed with folks young and old alike awaiting the results.
