River Bend Nature Center in Faribault will be offering a Minnesota Master Naturalist course on Saturdays starting June 1. Classes will run from 9-5pm till July 13.

As a Master Naturalist you'll become involved with science-based projects which may include evaluating stream ecology or monitoring monarch butterfly larvae. Class participants will learn about geology, plants, trees, animals and the impact each has on the environment. You'll gain knowledge on many topics that will help you to become a steward of the land.

This class is open to adults and is $295 which includes the course manuals and supplies. There are scholarships available through the Minnesota Master Naturalists. You can learn more at River Bend's website. Pre-registration is required.
