U of M Open House in Waseca

The Southern Research and Outreach Center outside Waseca hosts their University of Minnesota Open House on Thursday, September 12. The event will take place from 4-8pm rain or shine. Hot dogs will be served from 4:30-7:30pm.

There will be experts on turf, home horticulture and landscaping and fruit production on hand to answer questions. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the Minnesota grape industry and sample local wines and craft beer. You will also have the chance to learn about the University's pumpkin variety trial.

There will also be tours of the center along with the corn maze an farm animals. Children can take part in 4-H activities and games. There will also be door prizes with includes fully processed and packaged pork.
