Trick Or Treat For The Steele County Food Shelf
The Joe Verhota family for the 4th year are offering their Haunted Yard along with trick or treating to benefit the Steele County Food Shelf. Visitors may stop by anytime after 10 AM to 338 13th Street NE Owatonna and make a donation of food or cash for the Steele County Food Shelf. The Haunted Yard is near the former McKinley or current Washington School.
Trick or treating will take place between 5-8PM. There will be the regular treats along with treats for those who have a peanut allergy and also small toys and trinkets. The yard is adorned with a handmade hearse. Take a peak inside. There is also a cemetery set up and the garage is decorated as Dracula's castle. There will also be a pair of actors to accentuate the surroundings.
Joe stresses that this is family friendly and not a second Trail of Terror. Joe got the idea from his father back in 1979 when he and his dad used to decorate for Halloween.
Stop on by for a good time and help out the Steele County Food Shelf.
