The city of Waseca has taken a few hits recently with the closing of QuadGraphics and Hy-Vee. Two University experts will be addressing local economic issues and rural retail revitalization in Southern Minnesota during a presentation on Tuesday, November 13. It'll run 5:30-7:30PM at the University of Minnesota Southern Research and Outreach Center.

This is a free event with the program at 6PM followed by a social time at 7:30PM.Brigid Tuck of the Extension's Center for Community Vitality will be one of the presenters. She's an expert on rural community vitality based in Mankato and has lead some 100 reports covering numerous economic sectors in Minnesota.

Among the topics to be addressed is learning about national and state trends affecting the regional economy and challenges facing the region in the future.
