The Steele County Historical Society will commemorate Women's Suffrage on September 7. On September 8, 1919, Minnesota became the 15th State to ratify the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution. There will be a brunch and program at the History Center on September 7 starting at 9am. The brunch will be followed by a program on women in the workforce by Judge Karen Duncan. She will also discuss her career in the legal field. Reservations and payment are due September 5. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

The Steele County Historical Society is also hosting a bus tour on October 11 to Winona. The trip includes a sightseeing cruise on the Mississippi and visiting area museums and historic sites. The coach will leave at 8am and return around 5pm. It's $65 for members and $75 for non-members. Reservations and payment are due by September 27. Space is limited to 55 people.
