Some Things To Know About Owatonna’s Weekend Out

The first thing to keep in mind is that there are activities and or specials all three days from Friday, July 13-Sunday, July 15. Start off with a free movie in the park be at Brown Park at dusk featuring 'Leap'. An hour prior to the movie the Jill Hoggard dancers will perform and concessions will be available. Friday will be Take a Kid Golfing Day all day long at Brooktree. The special price will be $5 for 9 holes for each kid and adult with cart rental set at $5.

The Saturday events to look forward to include Yoga in the Park from 8-9AM at Dartts Park. Child care will be provided and bring your own mat. Then at 9AM at Dartts there will be a Diaper Dash, Toddler Trot and Kids K Trail Run and they're all free. Brooktree will be offering yard games at 5PM.

Next up is Sunday, July 15 and Brooktree will offer $15 green fees for child and parent for 9 holes after 2PM.

There are things to remember that run more than one day. River Springs Water Park is offering $2.50 admission for everyone on both Saturday and Sunday.

Also offered during the weekend will be a Trail Challenge. You're invited to walk, bike or run on at least 3 of the Owatonna trails and you'll then be entered into a drawing for prizes. You can get details on this challenge at the Owatonna Parks and Rec web site.
