Registration Remains Open for Owatonna City Open Golf Championship

Calling all Steele County residents. Registration remains open through August 1 for the annual Owatonna City Open golf tournament.

For just $30, golfers can play both the Brooktree Golf Course and the Owatonna Country Club August 5-6. Register at either course. Players must have an MGA handicap. A cart fee is not included in the cost.

All levels of play are welcome because the tournament is flighted by handicap. Divisions include a senior group for those age 55-64 and a super senior division for golfers 65 and older.

A junior tournament for those 18 and younger is August 3-4 and will also play both courses for just $15.

Other events at Brooktree include the music-on-the-patio series Friday, August 4, with Boyd Lee and MJA. The MGA senior golf event at Brooktree is August 7 and the club championship is August 12-13.

Owatonna Country Club holds its club championship August 19-20. OCC hosts the Labor Day classic and a Ryder Cup-style event in September, plus a Polar Bear Scramble in October.
