The Fall Celebration on the grounds of the former State School Orphanage will be Saturday, September 14 from 1-4pm. There is no admission but donations to the Children Remembered-Orphanage Legacy Trust will be accepted. The trust serves as a foundation of the operation of the Orphanage Museum and Cottage 11.

Saturday there will be horse-drawn wagon rides around the grounds with a tour guide. Children's games along with the showing of a 1930 historic film featuring the orphanage and the children. There will also be a scavenger hunt and raffle. New this year will be the dedication of the Maxine Ronglien Memorial Garden at 2pm. It's located next to Cottage 11.

Anne Peterson of the Orphanage Museum was a guest on AM 1390's Talk of the Town. She received a visitor from England recently who heard about the museum from a couple from Australia. Owatonna is being talked about all over the world. The visitor from England is looking into possible plans of establishing a similar memorial in England.
