Owatonna's Ethan Rohman drove home Isaac Gefre twice on Tuesday with base hits. The second time set off a great celebration as it occurred in the eighth inning and gave Post 77 a 2-1 victory over Stewartville in a makeup game at Fuller Field at Dartt's Park in Owatonna.

Gefre reached on a pop fly that was misplayed by the second baseman. Gefre quickly stole second, his third swipe of the evening. Rohman smashed a ball to left center and jogged to second base for a double while Gefre was sprinting home for the win. Rohman doubled Gefre home from first base in the fourth inning for Owatonna's other run.

Pitching was stellar for both teams. Owatonna's Sam Henson, Willie VonRuden and Abe Havelka combined to fan more than 15 Stewartville batters and surrender just three hits. It was Havelka's first appearance in a game since an injury during his senior season with Owatonna High School in 2018. Stewartville hurlers allowed just four hits.

Post 77 is scheduled to host Faribault Thursday, July 18 at 7 pm. The game will be streamed by OwatonnaLive.com. Owatonna's VFW squad is also set to play Thursday at 5 pm, hosting Red Wing after the game was postponed on Tuesday.

The Owatonna Aces look to take the field at Dartt's Park Wednesday night to face the Rochester Road Runners at 7:30 pm. The Aces game against Austin on Monday was suspended by rain with Austin up 4-3. It was the third attempt to play the game and the teams are working on a makeup date to finish the contest. The Aces go to Wascea Friday for a 7:30 pm tilt with the Braves.
