Owatonna Boy Hit By Horseless Carriage
That's an interesting headline. The Steele County Historical Society will present their next edition of History Uncorked on Thursday, April 25 at the Steele County History Center.
This months presentation will focus on the days of the horseless carriage in Owatonna. A 77 year old driver struck a 7 year old boy running in the street back in 1917 which led to the boy's father suing the driver for $20,000. Now that's a lot of money back then. In fact the Minnesota Supreme Court even got involved. Local attorneys will walk attendees through the case and those attending may act as jurors.
Tickets for the 7pm start are $10 for members and $15 for non-members and include a beverage of your choice.
