Owatonna Art Center December Happenings

The Owatonna High School Carolers will be making an appearance at the Owatonna Art Center on Sunday, December 4, at 4PM. The public is invited to this free performance. This will conicide with the opening of "It's Christmas," the new holiday exhibition that will remain on display through December 30. The galleries are all trimmed for the holidays and you'll find the banquet table decorated with Dickens characters. The display also includes a selection of interesting nut crackers.

Saturday, December 10, it's Cocoa With Santa. This free event runs from 10-11:30AM. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance at the Art Center. Kids can visit with Santa, enjoy a story and cup of cocoa while Mrs. Claus plays the piano.

Friday, December 16, is the date for the Abigail Hansen Harp Concert. This free event starts at 7:30PM. Abigail will perform a 45-minute program of classical and seasonal music. She was recently named the Distinguished Young Woman of Minnesota. Abigail has played at Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul and Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. She is a senior at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
