More Brewers Coming to Hops for Habitat 2019

The second Hops For Habitat 2019 will feature at least 23 brewers this year compared to around 15 last year. This year's fund raiser for Two River Habitat for Humanity takes place on Saturday, April 6 at the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna. Advance tickets are on sale at Owatonna Hy-Vee, Kottke Jewelers and the Two Rivers Habitat web site. Tickets at the door will be $10 more. Hours on April 6 will be 2-5pm. VIP tickets will get you in an hour earlier at 1pm with a select group of beers available.

The Habitat is currently working on finishing up a home in Claremont where the sheetrocking has begun and another home in Rochester that is a bit further along. Volunteer help is still needed for both projects. This Friday, March 15 is the deadline for the next potential home to be built. Download an application at the Two Rivers Habitat web site. The hope is that the next home will be built this summer in Owatonna and possibly another home in Rochester.

There is also some money available for repair work in the area as well. Repairs for example may include things like a leaky roof or wheel chair ramp. To get your questions answered, call 507-282-0849.
