Moen Becomes Owatonna’s All-Time Leader in Wrestling Victories
With a pair of pins Thursday night, Owatonna senior Brandon Moen moved to the top of Owatonna's all-time career wins list with 200 victories.
Moen passed 2006 graduate Alex Meger atop the all-time list at Owatonna. Moen's career record is 200-36. He is the defending state champ at 195 pounds and is a four-time state place winner. Moen is 9-0 with five pins this season, wrestling mostly at 182 pounds. He missed the first month of competition while recovering from a knee injury suffered at a wrestling event last summer. Moen has committed to Division I Eastern Michigan University.
The Huskies beat Winona 38-30 and Austin 43-30 on Thursday to stay unbeaten in Big Nine competition. The Huskies travel to the Mustang Duals on Saturday at Mounds View High School.
