
Minnesota Teenager Killed in Duluth Area Wreck
Cloquet, MN (KROC AM News) - A central Minnesota teenager was killed Saturday when the vehicle she was riding in crashed.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 38-year-old Amanda Valerius of Zimmerman lost control of the SUV she was driving and it rolled several times. She wasn’t hurt but 15-year-old Heather Doucette of Zimmerman was killed. Another passenger, 12-year-old Hanna Valerius of Zimmerman, suffered life-threatening injuries.
It’s not known if the two passengers were using seat belts.
The wreck happened around 4:00 PM on I-35 about 25 miles south of Duluth near Cloquet. The State Patrol report indicates the roadway was covered with snow and ice at the time of the wreck.
