The Little Theatre of Owatonna has announced the recipients of its 2019 Veta Alexander scholarships. The scholarship is celebrating its 50th year.

Matthew Bueltel of Owatonna plans to study political science at the University of Minnesota. He is the son of Joseph and Tracy Bueltel

Payton Jorgensen of Owatonna will study environmental design at St. Olaf College and is the daughter of Curt and Holly.

Austin VonRuden is the son of Scott and Kelly of Medford. He plans to attend Johnson and Wales University to obtain a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.

The Veta Alexander Scholarship now fifty years old has provided nearly $60,000 in scholarships to 149 area seniors.

This years recipients will be recognized during the opening night of LTO's presentation of Once on this Island on Thursday, June 20.
