From the Ken Bey Football Classic Golf Scramble to Owatonna's Girls Basketball, there's plenty of opportunities to get some golf in and support a local cause or two.

Brooktree Golf Course will have the Ken Bey Football Classic Golf Scramble on Saturday, July 9. Registration forms are available at Brooktree Golf Course (1369 Cherry St.), Harland's Tire and Auto Center (211 W. Main St.) , Kottke Jewelers (115 N. Cedar Ave.) and Owatonna Country Club (1991 Lemond Rd.). Applications should be submitted this week. Registration will be at 9:30AM with an 11AM shotgun start. Each golfer pays an $85 fee.

The Healthy Seniors of Steele County will have their eighth annual Golf Classic at the Owatonna Country Club (1991 Lemond Rd.) on Tuesday, July 12. It is an 18-hole four-person scramble and the tournament fee is $115/person with a shared golf cart or $400/four-person team including two carts. Registration begins at 11AM, lunch for $5 at 11:30 and shotgun start at noon. Dinner, awards and prizes begins at 5PM. Late July will be the Golf Tournament for Girls Basketball on the Saturday the 30th taking place at Brooktree Golf Course (1369 Cherry St.). It is a four-person scramble. The fee is $65/person or $260/team. Registration is at 9AM and a shotgun start is at 10AM. Proceeds will benefit Owatonna Girls Basketball. There will be food and prizes also.
