Lane Closures and Openings at Owatonna’s New Roundabout

Those who travel the north end of Owatonna need to be aware of changes coming the  morning of Monday, July 8 as phase two of the roundabout begins. The roundabout is being built at Cedar Avenue and 26th Street.

Starting Monday, eastbound traffic on 26th Street will be moved to the new lanes of the roundabout and the south leg of the intersection will reopen.

Westbound 26th Street will then close with detour signs in place. This closure is expected to last up to three weeks. The north leg will be closing soon as well with detour signs in place.

Another thing to be aware of is that northbound traffic will not be able to make a left turn to westbound 26th Street. Detour signs will be in place.

The project is scheduled to be completed August 16. Date is of course subject to change due to weather or other factors.
