A hopping little business. That's the phrase I heard when folks refer to Krause Feeds and Supplies in Hope. It's one busy place. Earlier this month, after over 50 years in the same family the business was sold. Jim Krause who purchased the store in 1981 from his father who had owned it since 1967 completed the transaction turning the keys over to Larry and Kristy Mulert.

Krause Feeds and Supplies will keep the name and the same hours and products. Products that include local items from Hope Creamery, Steve's Meat Market, Geneva Meats, Morgan's, Nancy Jane's Bakery and others.

Larry said it was a great opportunity and really wanted to keep the business locally owned. Jim will stay on for the time being and help with the transition.

Earlier this year the business got some worldwide exposure when Owl City used Krause's as a setting for a music video
