The Harry Wenger Marching Band Festival begins at 11am on Saturday, June 15. Twelve bands will competing in three classes with Owatonna marching in exhibition. Bands competing in Class A include a new entrant in Lakes International. They'll be joined by Winona Cotter, KMS, Lake City and Richfield.  The Class AA entrants are Litchfield, Dassel-Cokato and Henry Sibley with Champlin-Park, Waconia, Mankato 77 Lancers and 728 Cadets competing in Class AAA.

The first place winner in each class receives $750. There are numerous other awards handed out as well. You can check them out on the Harry Wenger Marching Band Festival web page.

This year there will be competition in Waconia later on June 15. A grand champion combining the scores received in Owatonna along with Waconia will be awarded that evening in Waconia.

This years Grand Marshalls are former students of Harry Wenger, Edith and Jean Zamboni. Play zones will once again be on Lincoln in front of Trinity Lutheran Church and north of the church and downtown at the Judge's Stand by the Post Office.
