Future Exhibits At The Steele County Historical Society

A couple of the future exhibits that will be coming to the Steele County Historical Society include one on the rural schools of Steele County and the 100th anniversary of the American Legion. Work on these exhibitions will begin based on the amount of funding available and the level of the exhibit will depend on funds as well. There is currently a micro fund raising going on for the above exhibits. The Historical Society is accepting donations in any amount.

Some upcoming events include an Americana Showcase: Songwriters in the Round on Friday, May 10 at 6:30pm. Guests will include Brandon Sampson, Dan Hubbard and Faith Bobblet.

Tuesday, May 21 over the noon hour the Steele County Historical Society's Genealogy Club presents Genealogy by Paula. Paula Stuart-Warren will present The Farmer in the Dell. Her presentation will demonstrate how to find information about ancestral farms.  This is a free event for Historical Society members and $5 for nonmembers.
