Amanda Heilman the Director of Finance for the Owatonna School District was a guest on AM 1390's Talk of the Town. The Summer Food Service Program will be offered once again this summer in the district. Youngsters ages 1-18 may eat free. Lunches will be served June 4 through August 9 at the High School and at the Owatonna Public Library. Hours at the school will be 12:15-12:45PM and at the library from 11:45-12:15PM. Meals at the library will be sack lunches. Adults are welcome as well. Adult meals are $4.00.

The meal program will also take place at McKinley Elementary starting July 9 and running through August 2. At McKinley they will serve breakfast Monday through Thursday from 8-8:30AM and lunch from 12:15-12:45PM. Adult breakfasts are $2.25.There are no income guidelines and no need to sign up. Simply show up.

Plans are for this summer to get the bond projects completed in the district. There is deferred maintenance planned at the Middle School and Wilson School. A new kitchen will be installed at Washington School this summer.

High School graduation is June 3.
