Emergency Blood Shortage. Southern Minnesota Blood Drives

The American Red Cross has announced there is now an emergency shortage of blood. Those who donate blood between now and August 29 will get a $5 Amazon gift card.

Here's a look at upcoming blood drives in our area.

Friday, August 2 from 4-10pm at the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault

Sunday, August 4 from 11-4pm at the Faribault Elks Club

Tuesday, August 6 from 12-6pm at the District One Hospital in Faribault

Wednesday, August 7 from 11-6pm and Thursday, August 8 from 9-2pm at the Faribault Eagles.

Tuesday, August 6 from 1-7pm at the United Methodist Church in Owatonna

Wednesday, August 14 from 1-6pm at the New Richland City Hall.

The Red Cross reports they have less than a 3 day supply of blood and only a 2 day supply of type O blood.
