The Owatonna Arts Center will open the gallery exhibition: Contemporary Realism-works from the Atelier Program of Fine Art on Sunday, June 2 from 1-5pm. Atelier refers to the old practice of a private studio of an artist who along with apprentices turned out works of art. There will be an opening session on Sunday, June 9 from 1-4m. An artist will be in the gallery at this time and will answer questions about this classical training in art.

Saturday, June 8 from 1-4pm will be the dedication of the John Idstrom Bronze Collection at the OAC. The John Idstrom family has gifted a collection of North American Big Game series of bronzes to the OAC. John's son who was a wildlife biologist and artist will speak as well as wildlife artist and conservationist Jim Killen.

The public is invited to both events.
